If writing was a food type what type would you like?
I like my stories American country style- rich, filling, meaty- and a lot of it.
I like earthy common characters- even my aliens and people. Like meat and potatoes- but just like fried chicken cooked by my late granny looks ordinary but is really magical.
So if writing was a food what would you like?

I like what I like. If writing was food, then I'd like the flavors I like, and dislike the flavors I disliked. It's that simple.

I'd like oranges. My favorite kind of story is one that looks simple to begin with, then when you peel back layers, you find that the structure a lot more complicated than it looked like initially (like peeling the fruit to uncover its sections). There are many different elements to the story, and even though they're all different (peel, seeds, fruit, pulp, etc.), they all come together to make a good, functional whole.

Yeah, ditto on the buffet. Only mine would consist of foods that I've never tried before. I'll decide whether I like it after I've had a taste.

Writing is like those gourmet tequilla-lime dark chocolate bars with a kick of cayene pepper in them. Familiar, yet strangely different, with an interesting twist.
mmm... addictive... sure wish I could remember who the manufacturer was so I could track more of 'em down...I found 'em one summer at Maryhill Museum but last time I was there they sadly didn't have them. Ahh well... will have to spend my time viewing the Rodin statues instead of cruising the cafe.
