My 13-year-old daughter was informed today that she is a finalist in the RFF Utah Student Writing Contest for poetry! Poetry! Where'd THAT come from?
Her prize for reaching that level in the contest is two tickets to CONduit, so, Kathleen, you'll be seeing me and the other skinnier (MUCH skinnier) me on the 28th!

grats! both to you and to the daughter it's always nice to know that the creativity you have, your kids grow to have also. i think it is partially due to nurturing influence. you raise your kid, and so the things you are interested in and or good at, they learn to appreciate as well
anyways, how would i know anything about any of this stuff? i don't even want to become a parent in the far future
