Only (on average, I've read) 48 more to go before it's accepted!

If you're this excited over a rejection, I can't wait to see you when you get an acceptance.

Congratulations!

Was it for a short story or novel? I should probably know this but humor me.

I just got my first snail mail rejection letter, and it was the lowest form rejection from JJA at the Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction. I'm proud.

Sending the manuscript off to the next on my list today!

According to Stephen King, you are now supposed to drive a very large nail into your bedroom wall and hang the rejection slip from it. Then add more as they come in. When the nail is full, you'll be Stephen King. Or something like that...

Hey congrats! You've finally stepped across the point of no return. It actually becomes quite adictive.

I think I'm on number 15 or something. I've lost count. Isn't it fun!

But hey, just a pick me uperer: I finally got an acceptance letter from a query I sent out for my novel (still working on pushing the shorts). They wanted my proposal and so I sent it out--first 50pgs and a marketing plan. Guess what? He liked it! He asked for the manuscript. Now I'm in the bipolar phase. That's: "He'll definatly say he wants it!" then "Oh, God help me I'm a loser! He's gonna laugh all the way to the shredder!" My kids aren't sure what's going on half the time with their crazy mother.

So welcome to the world of the totally masochistic. You'll obviously fit right in.
