by the end of November I will...

have written my nanowrimo novel.

have submitted a story to Shimmer. (Thanks for the idea, pantros!)

tchernabyelo........ The Box of Beautiful Things was great. Good luck with it.

Scratch that, I'm not submitting anything to Shimmer. That'll be on my December to-do list. I need to just concentrate on nano (Thanks for the idea, Mel!)

Sift through the smoking remnants of my novel in the hope it will rise phoenix-like from its own ashes.

In other words, rework the back-end of the plotline and correct the course the story is currently taking.

I'll continue to work on "Olympus Uprising" as well as completely rewrite "Call of Faya".

As well as try to come up with another way of writing my superhero thing.

That's about it, other than trying to get over being sick.

* Write 2 or 3 novels for NaNoWriMo (and plot 1 or 2 of them - already have one plotted).

Yeah. That is all.

I guess I will do NaNoWriMo after all. But I still didn't finish my goal from October, which was figuring out where my story will start. Maybe I'll put 5 possible start points in a hat and draw one.

NaNo, NaNo, school, and more NaNo. If I get anywhere near the 50k mark, I'll be ecstatic. Especiallly if I'm still passing calculus.

I won't be able to do Nano after all, but I will get Kathleen the articles I owe her, write another essay for RiverWalk Journal and completely rewrite "You Shoot Your Own Dog" and another story and submit them both for publication, somewhere.

Oh, yeah. I will also...

...figure out how to permanently log onto this site. (I lost it a week or so ago when I cleaned out my cookie cache.)

...finish my first novel (I'll put it on F&F for anyone who wants to help

...Go to charleston, sc for 17 days

...Hope that I wrote a decent novel that passes for semi good as I let it sit for awhile before taking it out and *fixing* it up.

(My, what a busy bunch of people we are!)

Me too... I'm doing NaNo for the third time. I won the first time with something useless and the second with something that could be edited into something that might get published. Of course, at the end of the first day I'm about 500 words behind but I know I'll catch up. I can remember doing several 4k days at the end of last November to catch up and finish on the 29th at around 9 p.m.

My big problem this year is that I keep finding all of the holes I left in my plot and in my research. But I'll keep going and fill in the holes next month.

Finish the first draft of my novel. Only about 15k words to go.

By the end of November, I will...

-Write another story
-Help anyone who wants help with NaNo
-Do at least one Flash Challenge
-Keep subbing any rejected stories
-Investigate new markets

Posted by pixydust (Member # 2311) on :

I will...

-do at least one Flash at LH.

-get at least 10,000wds done on my current ms (Maybe 15,000 if I'm lucky. Almost done!).

-try to not die of stress from the millions of birthdays and holidays coming up (this one may be the most difficult).

...try and get around to posting "Shethdyn" for crits, which I keep neglecting to do

...continue working on my novels (and maybe actually get somewhere)

Rewrite the short story I've been working on " Suck of Clay, Whir of Wheel" and maybe post the first 13.
Start researching, interviewing and thinking about my next story.

Run around blowing the crap out of everything in Halo with a rocket launcher that, due to my "amobebi no jitsu" never runs out of rockets

It's more fun than sneaking up behind an invisible sword elite (while not invisible myself) and breaking his neck without alerting any of his doomed buddies.

Hmmm...I'll need to check and see if the amobebi no jitsu works on difficulty settings other than Legendary. I can't see why not, it exploits what is clearly a minor coding bug in the object table management system, but perhaps franc li can try that for me.

No response as yet.

quote:
...finish On Black Tiger Mountain

Nope; not done anything to sort this one out.

...edit (and probably retitle) What The Sea Refuses

Started on this but then put it aside and haven't returned to it... hmm... not looking too good so far...

...complete at least two more short stories, courtesy of the Liberty Hall Short Story Challenge

Aha! I have completed three stories this month that I am reasonably pleased with; What The Heart Holds, The Man Who Was Never Afraid, and Three Out Of Four (which needs retitling). Plus I've got ideas for two more. That's more like progress.

...sell a few thousand pounds' worth of soap and soap-related products

Well, sold some, and just hit our budget, but more would have been nice...

...polish the short story I just completed

The problem is, I have no idea which short story we are talking about. Well, whichever it was, I polished it, and sent it out, since my roster of stories-on-computer is empty.

quote:
...write another one

I have 9 pages on that. Perhaps by January I'll have some more. Not looking too good.

quote:
...revise my novel

Nope.

...all under the assumption my programming projects don't get to me first

They did get to me :'(

Well I finished NaNo... but I can't say anything for my calc grade yet. I hope I pass.

Posted by Kickle (Member # 1934) on :

Finished rewriting and sent out Suck of Clay. I may rewrite a different beginning later, but I'm forgetting that idea for now. Started working on a new short story.
