The best thing happened to me yesterday. I am a member of a forum where I post stories that I want to send to a publisher. The story I posted there was something I wrote a few motnhs ago but I rewrote it, differing the POV and the characters a little. A friend of mine on that forum had read my previous story, pretty much the story that got me into writing, and said it was ok. He then read my latest one I posted yesterday and I got tbe best feedback! I feel really great for it! It's just a feeling of elation where I felt I wasn't improving but I was. A few other people read it and liked it, some of whom had read the first one. They all agree it has been improved a whole deal.

I might go and find some of my earlier work and read them, rewrite them and then reread them. I feel inspired beyond all belief! It's funny how a friend can read something and give you the feeling and encouragement to write more. I suppose everyone has that feeling everytime someone reads their works and likes it.

This probably makes no sense to anyone as I am rambling. I apologise for it :O

Ramble away. I know what you're talking about. I wrote a few stories over twenty years ago. I put fiction away while writing technical documentation. Somehow, I didn't have the energy for both at the same time. Recently, I was set free from the workaday world and dragged out the old stories. Some are trash, but a couple of them were keepers with a little (or a lot) of tweaking. I had one of my 'oldies' accepted for publishing, so there is hope. Back in the mists of time, the writing was iffier, but the ideas okay. I've improved the writing enough to do some good re-writing. Hopefully, some of my other 'moldies' will also take flight.

Keep at it!

Yeah, my mood has remained. Today I probably wore out my keyboard, lol. The poor thing probably needs replacing now
