I just wanted to share a major milestone reached this morning with a submission to IGMS. I now have over 100,000 short fiction words in submission. Woo-hoo!

Congratulations Spaceman, may you get published in every one of those 100,000 words

That's a lot of short stories.

I think my current tally (of outstanding subs) comes to... let me check... just under 30k, with another 6.5k awaiting publication, and about another 10k ready to go out.

Well, the last time I counted, I passed the millionth submitted word sometime around 1990. I wasn't counting at the time, I only added it up in retrospect. Haven't added it up lately: I must be closing in on two million---the second million having proved harder to come up with than the first million.
