I'm writing a story set in 1910 in England, and I want to get into as much historical detail as possible. Can anyone recommend any writer's guides to this period and area?

If it makes any difference, I'm setting most of it in the resort community of Malvern Wells in England. I've found the RL website for Malvern Wells, but I want more.

The first thing that came to mind was a DVD I watched called "1900s House." It's "reality show" about England in the 1900s. I'll post again if I think of anything else.

A friend recently suggested this website for figuring out if a certain word was in use during a certain time period. I have no idea if it will be useful, I haven't looked at it yet, but I offer it up in case it is:

It may sound obvious, but have you tried googling 'Malvern Wells 1910' ? The '1910' in the search string is essential. The search turns up stuff on the local railway, the iconic Morgan motor company, Elgar riding his bicycle, and several other insights into those times.

Hope this helps,
Pat

Of course 1910 in England was the year of the constitutional crisis, when it was decided just who was in charge here. Also King Edward died and and King George took over.
