Anyone else ever hear of/try it? The basic gist is that you write a novel over Memorial Day weekend. My girlfriend and I are in sharp disagreement over whether or not this sounds like a fun thing I should try (her take) or an exercise in masochistic exile that I should try (my take). Either way, it's clearly more brutal than, say, NaNoWriMo.

Nonetheless, is does sound interesting.

I wrote one in five days once...a Harlequin Romance, fifty thousand words, complete in one draft...and, really, it wasn't any good. I was never able to duplicate the speed with anything more serious or sciencefictiony...
