I appreciated these. Though the advice is well worn and often retold over and over again, it is clearly still an issue that agents (and by proxy editors at magazines) face.

Actually I found the second and third ones rather interesting. I hope I don't do those things, but she does point out that more than newbies do these things. They are some good things to watch out for. Thanks for posting them.

Oooh, curses. I've fallen into that second one before and didn't even realize it. Not sure about the third one, though; I'll have to look for it.

The bottom line for all of those mistakes were the need to info dump by the author.
