This article is actually more about nonfiction titles, but I thought it might be worth posting the link here, in case the idea can be applied to fiction titles for anyone.

I remember being annoyed by a recent book about the Iraq war (I think), 'cause it stole Joe Haldeman's title: "The Forever War."

On the other hand...I think the popularity of "...onomics" as a title ender has far more to do with the word "economics" than any popularity of the book "Freakonomics."

I keep looking for a book entitled "The Hope of Audacity," about a little girl named Audie who changes the world, but I guess no one's run with that one yet...
