Hey all,

I hate to make a post that is solely an advertisement but I just wanted to let everyone know about a new genre zine called Diabolical Plots.

It's a co-effort by myself and David Steffen (steffenwolf) to provide interviews from industry names, reviews and other genre specific content. We hope you'll take the time to come visit.

We also recognize that you're all a bunch of swag-grubbing hounds like ourselves so to entice you over we're offering a free copy of the new WotF anthology to those who participate in our grand opening contest so go take a look.

If that wasn't enough, K. D. Wentworth and Joey Jordan were nice enough to sit for interviews and they are both up for your consumption.

Hope to see you soon! Here is the link.

Pretty Cool

This plug wouldn't be quite so shameless if it were posted in the area provided for such things.

Since you haven't put it in the Markets for Our Writing area, would you mind if I moved it there?

Please do, Kathy. I considered that place but on the fact that we have no intention of publishing fiction I thought it was not appropriate. Thanks for setting me straight.

It's Kathleen.

I guess I misunderstood. If you aren't looking for submissions (reviews, articles, whatever), then this is as good a place as any for the topic.

My appologies Kathleen.

As the site says, we are certainly welcoming any sort of non-fiction submissions but the purpose of this post was to draw attention to content for aspiring writers rather than soliciting submissions. I'll leave it to you to decide where it belongs.

Thanks!

The site is cool! Especially the interviews. Enjoyed the KDW (she who must be impressed) conversation. Who knew she is really H G Wells.

Nice, I especially liked the swirling tag cloud.

@Snapper: "She who must be impressed." I love it!

@Pure Dynasty: I love that tag cloud too, maybe a little too much.

AWSullivan, just to clariy (and avoid any possible confusion), She Who Must Be Impressed is K.D. Wentworth. I am She Who Must Be Obeyed. (We're twins, except that she has blue eyes, and I have light brown eyes.)

Posted by snapper (Member # 7299) on :

The why do you have different last names, Ms Obeyed? You have different fathers?

Posted by Kathleen Dalton Woodbury (Member # 59) on :

Ever heard of marriage, snapper?

Okay, it's a joke about us being twins. Anyone who actually meets us together, whom we tell this joke to, rolls their eyes as well.

So you married someone with the last name 'obeyed'? Man I would love to be there for those vows...

Do you, She Who Must Be, take Never Is To Be as your...

What was your two's madien name then? President? Obnoxious? Queen? Latefordinner? Wait! I got it!!!

A'writer. Yep, I knew a few A'writer's in my day, never gave me the time of day.

Bump.

Just because...

The O'Beyeds are from county Mayo aren't they?

Well, when we first met-by-correspondence, it was just "Woodbury" without Dalton or O'Beyed or any other name. (I just looked at the letter in my files---on the envelope, it wasn't even "Kathleen.")
