I've got a rather lengthy cowboy poem that has elements of fantasy involved with it. What I envision for it is not to be placed in an anthology of poetry, but to be published as a book, with four line stanzas per page, and an illustration. The problem I've been finding is locating a publisher who says they do those sorts of projects. Obviously they do, because you see them--often as children's books, but with meaning for adults as well. I guess what I'm getting at is does anyone here have experience with anything like this and if so, what can you advise me to do?

Try doing a search on poetry + chapbook (which, I believe is what such publications are called).

Thanks, Kathleen. I'll give that a shot.

After looking at a few sites referencing "chap books" I'm not sure that's what I'm after. Consider the famous poem "'Twas the Night Before Christmas". That poem is often put in a stanza to a page form, with illustrations. These books are sometimes hardbound, and sometimes paperback. My poem is similar in length to that one, and also tells a story. I envision something similar to be done with it.

Try looking at the publisher information in those books.

That's what I should do. Thanks.
