If you are going to be in the Salt Lake Valley on 22 April (a week from this Thursday), and would like to join Unwritten and me for lunch, we're going to be at Carino's Italian restaurant in Jordan Landing. It's a red-tile-roofed building just south of the Barnes and Noble (which is easier to find), and we're going to be meeting there at 11:30am.

Please speak up (or email me) so we can have some idea of how many to expect.

We're going to extend this invitation to the Nauvoo Workshop for LDS Writers forum people as well, so if you hang out there, you only need to respond in one place or the other.

Thanks.

Oh, I'll be there.

Probably.

Can I bring my kids, or should I store them away at Grandmas?

I was hoping you would be able to come Sheena! We're going to have a great time.

On the kids question, perhaps it depends on how much of your attention they might require and how distracting they might be from writerly conversation.

Baby sitter it is.

I may be able to attend.

If it's not a 'ladies' lunch, I'd like to attend. I have a meeting that ends between 11:00 and 11:30 so I might be a touch late if that's okay.

I'd like to join you if it's OK.

Hey, it's a writers-who-can-make-it lunch, ladies or not. We'd be glad to meet you all, so please come.

Okay. Looks like there will be six of us.

See you all tomorrow. (Ask for the Dalton-Woodbury table, or look for a tall woman with shoulder-length brown hair wearing a light-green sweater.)

I'm just checking in to let you know how excited I am! I'm finally going to meet a few of you tomorrow!

No djvdakota?

Posted by shimiqua (Member # 7760) on :

Hey, sorry. I'm not gonna be able to make it. Family obligations. But have fun without me.

I'll be there.

Sorry to hear that, Sheena.

Melanie, we can email djvdakota and see if she'll come down, but it may be a little late for that.

AARRGHH!

I will be in Salt Lake City tomorrow but it won't be so early. I need to stop in to get my truck repaired. I am just outside Vail but can't leave into the morning. Too far away.

Damn, damn, damn....

Oh, snapper. There'll be other times.

Maybe what we need to do is have a get-together some time when you will be in Salt Lake and can stay long enough to have lunch.

I already talked to her, Kathleen. She said she was trying to come, but she'd let you know if she could.

I'll miss seeing you Sheena. See the rest of you this afternoon!

Dang snapper! I wish you could be there. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that circumstances change for you!

Hope you all had fun. I had to get my truck fixed anyway, so did so in Grand Junction, CO.

I worked out the time it would have taken me to get there. Without knowing exactly where you were, if I drove 5 over and never stopped in the six hours + to get there, I could have pulled into the parking lot at 1:00. Just in time to wave to the last one leaving the lot.

Well, actually, we were there till 1:30pm, but that still would have been pushing it for you, especially since, as you say, you weren't sure where it was.

There'll be other chances, and I'm looking forward to them.
