Well, I read the rules precisely as far as the $50 entry fee. If I'd been taking the idea of writing a novel in 3 days seriously before that (which I wasn't), then I would have stopped doing so right then and there.

Sounds like fun, maybe, if you call paying 50 bux for the privilege of a sleepless Labor Day weekend "fun". I can't see it being anything but maddening, personally. I don't even think I could physically do it, anyway. What, 1000 words an hour for 72 hours, maybe? I'd rather have the beer and barbecue.
But hey, if you're into it, it bothers me not. To each their own. Have fun and best of luck, and I sincerely mean that.

This sounds interesting, though I wouldn't pay the $50 for it. I might try to write alongside the entrants though, just to see if I CAN get a finished story out of it. May be just the motivation I need to finish the manuscript I'm working on now.
