If you thought AstraPublishing was bad, you should see this article I stumbled across on Google. It's about a seedy publishing company called PublishAmerica. They got their just deserts when around 30 professional writers got together and wrote a near 72,000 word manuscript called Atlanta Nights. There is a download of it at the bottom of this page, http://www.sff.net/people/rothman/atlantanights.htp and I haven't been able to put it down. It's the most horribly hilarious compilation of the most awful writing ever conceived. AND THEY ACCEPTED IT!!

If you need a break from serious writing, or need an example of what not to do, then please have a look at it. I almost peed my pants reading it. Have fun.

I believe PublishAmerica has also agreed to publish a story where they just repeated a few pages over and over again.

While an amusing tale (one I was already familiar with), I don't see how PublishAmerica get their "just desserts" from it.

They continue to bilk money out of the ignorance and vanity of writers. One could say "Caveat scribor" or whatever the latin would be, but PublishAmerica's organisers continue to laugh all the way to the bank.
