Anyone familiar with this one?

(SCBWI = Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators)

Getting to conferences, etc is about the only thing on Brad's lists (see the other thread started by him) that I haven't been able to do at all.

This is about the only conference that might be practical for me as I could commute. It's by no means certain that I'll be able to figure out a way to afford it. But if I do, I'd like to know whether it's worthwhile or not.

I belong to the SCBWI, but I've never been to one of their conferences. So long as there's a writer's track of some sort that includes some kinds of discussions about the craft, I would say it's definitely worth it. They are definitely professionals, the quality of the quarterly publication alone indicates that.

Thanks.

Guess I'll wait until they post some more information about just what's going to be offered.
