I don't know how many people blog here, so maybe this idea will just crash and burn.

On another writing site, they have a thread for bloggers called "did you post today", and everyone puts up a link to their latest post and a brief one sentence or a few word description of what they blogged about. Then anyone who wants to can read through the blog topics and link to the ones that seem interesting.

I was thinking of starting a group like that here in the groups section. Is anyone interested in this, or will I be talking to myself? [Smile]

And KDW, please let me know if this would be a problem.

I'm still trying to figure our wordpress to get started with a professional looking "author lives here" type blog. But it sounds like a good idea, if only another tendril for marketing.

I use wordpress to blog. I post every Sunday usually. Its good practice and fun.

yep, I'm in. Here's my latest post about holiday dvd movie rentals

(and yeah I can move this post if/when you set up a group.) I'm an irregular poster but trying to get more regular, ha. Wish me luck on that. [Wink] I keep a personal/family blog and an author blog.

I've only read Dan Brown's THE DAVINCI CODE, but I have to say that he does have a way with flashbacks. If you really feel you need to put them in your novel, it wouldn't hurt to read THE DAVINCI CODE and see how he handles them.

Honestly, I don't know what to put in my blog. Until I get my writing career up and running, all I can write about is 'working on this, working on that'.

@ Martin
Post what you read. Blog about life. There's always something. I mean look at other authors, they also blog about a wide variety of topics. In some way a blog can serve you as a diary.

Awesome. Looks like there is some interest.

I've started a thread in the groups section.

Meredith and KayTi please repost your links there.

Thanks everyone. I hope this will be fun. [Smile]

This is a good idea. It may spur me to try again on my blog. I need more experience writing to a larger audience.

I'll put a link up when I start to regularly blog on my author's blog. Right now I'm a slacker. This will help to remind me to put something up. Good idea.

I don't post to my blog nearly as often as I told myself I would when I first built the thing, but this thread just might motivate me to do so.

Here's my most recent Bloggathah entry, a Thanksgiving Day wish for everyone, whether you celebrate the holiday or not.

S!
