I think we have a couple of new members that might not have heard of this. WriteOnCon will be starting up August 14th. It's geared toward children's literature--from picture books to YA.

The best part is: it's free and you don't have to leave home to attend. It's all online.

Worthwhile for non-YA writers, thriller-suspense for example?

It won't cost you anything to try it out. Or at least check out the schedule which should be posted a few days ahead. Or check out the transcripts from last year's event to see if you think there'll be anything useful to you. (The transcripts stay up pretty much forever.)

Some aspects, like the ninja agents in the query forums, won't be appropriate for non-kidlit, but there are a lot of other things.

The full schedule is up now. There are a few events of broad interest--like working with an agent or editor.

Take a look if you think there might be something in it that interests you.
