Lately, I've been working on an idea for an alternative history story. It would be set in the late Roman Republic. I would tweak some events and see what happens. I wouldn't mind a hand if anyone's up for it.

This story would be about Rome's contest against three of her most infamous rivals: Mithridates of Pontus, Quintus Sertorius and Spartacus. Since all three lived in the same timeframe, I thought it would be interesting if all three could be persuaded to work together instead of getting defeated one by one as they were.

If there're any fellow history lovers here, show yourselves. If not, I am willing to listen to suggestions where to look for them.

Holy Crap! Spartacus alone had Rome soiling its collective toga. You got something against Italians?

Well, my country neighbours Italy and a popular term for my countrymen in Italian is "Sciavi" which means 'slaves' so I could easily hold a few grudges. But this idea is not just about kicking Roman butt.

I'm simply trying to make the great overlord SPQR the David for a change instead of the Goliath.

So are there any takers? Or any ideas as to where to look for takers?
