Come on, guys. Deadline's tonight, and there are only 9 entries. We got to have more completed stories than that. [Smile]

Thank you, Andrew.
Who knew writing a single sentence (describing a story you've already written) would be more intimidating than writing a whole story!
Less than one hour to go!

Oh, the secret of elevator pitches is that you have to be comfortable with that special kind of lying that marketers specialize in: making a promise that omits a number of important details (e.g. it whitens your teeth but makes your hair fall out).

Very rarely to you get "exactly what it says on the box", and when you do the result is seldom very memorable. Will people care about the movie "Cowboys vs. Aliens" in fifty years, the way we care about "Casablanca"? I doubt it.

I tossed my hat in the ring to show community spirit, but I suggest that the dearth of entries shows we probably should discuss this kind of thing. Self-promotion is not a strength for most of us.

Thanks, Matt.

And...ding! ding! ding! ding!
The candidate entry deadline has passed.
On to the:

Primary Vote (*You must have entered to vote): Email me (address on link above or rfinegold@rsmaine.com) your three favorites candidates (excluding your own of course [Smile] ).

Any entrants who fail to submit their votes by the deadline will become ineligible.
Deadline: Wednesday 21 NOV 6PM.

You may also send me your critiques of the ten fine upstanding entries. I'll post the three finalists and all received critiques on or after Thanksgiving. Even earlier if our ten candidates do their civic duty before then.

Respectfully,
Dr. Bob
