It's that time of the week again, time for the kick in the pants. The idea is that having somewhere to report progress will spur you on to make some. So I'm posing the question to all of us here. Did you write this week? As we have been reminded in the past, writing for the purposes of this thread can mean just about anything you want. You did some editing? Report it here. Outlining, pre-writing or any other kind of prep work? Sure, that counts too. And, of course, writing new work always counts.

I finished Unmasked yesterday, with a final total of 120,735 words. I think that puts me around 17k written for the last week, most of that over the weekend. It's my longest novel to date, and will likely get longer in editing, as everything I've ever written to completion has done. I'm okay with that, since It's still not that long by fantasy standards.

There were a couple of ideas, notes for a few others and a few blog posts. I did a crit for a friend on twitter, though it was a small section. I told her I want a bigger section next time. [Big Grin]

How about everyone else? Did you write?

-Julie

Yes, I did. I've been hard at work on the revisions to FIRE AND EARTH for Pitch Wars. That's coming along. [Smile]

Also, a crit that I need to finish and two blog posts.

Wildered is about 42k, 14 chapters so far. One more part to finish. I know what to do, I just need to make sure it blends properly with the rest of it, and lets me tie in the sequel without lurching.

I blog every day.

Well, I brought that story I've been moaning over for months to a conclusion on Thursday...then turned yesterday to trying to write some lyrics for a story, which you've also listen to me moan about.

The latter proved harder than it looked...I'm out of practice writing poetry, and I want it to be simple, but being simple is harder than it looks. And I mislaid my rhyming dictionary, too.

Yep, and made a @#$% out of myself last night on the 'short works' forum too :-). Alcohol and the internet should not be allowed to mix. I'm demanding a breathalyser on my next computer.

Tinkered about with my first draft story for WotF Q2 and wrote the 'chase' scene for the short story I want to submit to an anthology in 7 days. Thank The Maker I've got a long weekend in between.

Phil.
