It's that time of the week again, time for the kick in the pants. The idea is that having somewhere to report progress will spur you on to make some. So I'm posing the question to all of us here. Did you write this week? As we have been reminded in the past, writing for the purposes of this thread can mean just about anything you want. You did some editing? Report it here. Outlining, pre-writing or any other kind of prep work? Sure, that counts too. And, of course, writing new work always counts.

Post-novel, the apparent activity always slows down for me, though it's not really much less, just harder to track. Nevertheless, I outlined and wrote a short story for a blog project I've been invited to. I had to immediately do some pruning to get it back under the maximum word count, but it's all good. That gave me a total word count of 8500 for the week, before pruning.

I've also begun edits on a stand-alone novella I wrote before my last novel (one that I'm trying to resist the urge to develop into a full project), and that's going to continue through this week. In addition, there have been ideas for three new projects, and a novella in my Necromantic world, plus working on outlining another novella in my Mirrors world.

I also wrote a number of blog posts.

That's it for me. How about you? Did you write?

-Julie

I did. I wrote 4K and am still going strong. First words, save for gardening blogs, I've written since last August.

Yes, I wrapped up the marathon of revisions to FIRE AND EARTH and I've started the revisions to THE BARD'S GIFT.

Also, three blog posts.

@PDBlake - Glad you're back in the Goblin saddle.

I wrote a few thousand more words for my non-fiction book.

I finished the scene outline for my four book series. Probably amounts to about 10,000 more words this week. The scene outline for the entire series is currently at 387 scenes. I wrote about 200 this weekend. That will grow when I begin to write out the stories.

Some more desultory work on that poem / song lyric for my story; nothing inspiring enough to stick in there. (Earlier, I cast around a little for a public domain folk song, but had no luck there, either.)

It's been almost long enough to work on some of my rough draft first draft stories again...but I'd rather finish this up and send it out.

Wildered still in structural and copyediting. About 8k words on Finding The Way. Rest of the book and most of the third (final) book main plot worked out.

Yeah, sort of. Finished up my S/F Horror hybrid and submitted it. Also, in a shameless attempt at self-promotion and aggrandisement, I created a website. Oooo, ahhh. [Big Grin] It's HERE

Now I'm just waiting for the rejection of my story -- I'm a glass all empty kinda guy.

Yep, I did.

On my novel WIPs, barely on the revision of my SC novel.

Two stories. Not sure if I revised any though. And a poem on waiting.

A crit. and various notes on two forums.

And Three or four posts there.
