Thank you, Kathleen.
I'd love to do something like this--though I am more inclined to the nearby Odyssey Writing workshop June 10 through July 19, 2013 http://www.sff.net/odyssey/workshop.html
I'm envious of attendees who can take 6 weeks off from work in the summer! I wonder if these courses were originally geared to college students on summer break?
Or, inadvertently, retirees. Perhaps in a couple years, but it has been a long time since I've been in in school--except as the professor.
Respectfully, Dr. Bob

Clarion would be wonderful, but I too can't take off from my life for six weeks.
This is a little off-topic, but does anyone know whether OSC will be holding Boot Camp this year? I've been looking for the announcement on his webpage, but nothing so far. I can't do six weeks at Clarion, but I can certainly swing one week for Boot Camp.

Another option for people who can't take six weeks off is Viable Paradise, held in Martha's Vineyard. I've had my eyes on it for a long time.
My question has been answered. Boot Camp information is up! July 29 through Aug. 3 in Orem, Utah. That's close enough that if I somehow get in, I can drive.

I feel like the others: Clarion would be good but no way for six weeks. I don't know if they are still doing the online workshops but I thought seriously about taking one of those.
Martha's Vineyard is too far away for me--cost would be hight there.
A Boot Camp would be good.

In terms of learning craft, you might consider checking out Dean Wesley Smith's online courses.
I've taken three -- Cliffhangers, From Idea to Story, and I just started his Openings workshop.
You get about 1 to 1.5 hours of video lecture, and there's always 2 assignments each week. Lots of information, lots of inspiration. They're $300 for six weeks, and depending on the assignments, you're making a commitment of about 3 hours a week.
