It's that time of the week again, time for the kick in the pants. The idea is that having somewhere to report progress will spur you on to make some. So I'm posing the question to all of us here. Did you write this week? As we have been reminded in the past, writing for the purposes of this thread can mean just about anything you want. You did some editing? Report it here. Outlining, pre-writing or any other kind of prep work? Sure, that counts too. And, of course, writing new work always counts.

I spent most of the week editing and outlining. I finished one of the two editing projects I had going on and got maybe halfway through the other one. I've been outlining a novella for my Necromantic world, a prequel to the trilogy. I've also been continuing to build the world for my next project and have begun outlining that. I've got about 3.5k of outline for the novella (almost done) and around 4k of outline for the novel (not even halfway through I think).

I did a couple of blog posts as well and had a scrap of a story idea pop up that sounds really interesting, though I've no time for it at the moment. So many of them, never remotely enough time.

That's it for me. How about you? Did you write?

Only for my gardening blog and the no-hook challenge.

Painfully, yes.
3k words, in the middle of act 2 for a (yet another) new story that need be less than 5K for its intended market. Oy.

Respectfully,

Yes, I did. Almost 22,000 words on "Magic and Power"--and it just took an unexpected (to me) turn and looks like it's heading for a different ending than the one I intended. Oh well.

Also finished a full novel crit (which I still need to return) and two blog posts.

Worked through a single verse and a chorus of my poem-that-I'm-stuck-on...still not satisfied with it, the meter is just too basic and I may have to mess it up a little...

I'm taking a writing class so I did my assignment which was to outline my book, and since I'm working on two for the class one I started specifically for the class and one that I had been wrestling with, I outlined both. Then I critiqued someone's short story, and I'm still in the process of critiquing someone's novel. I also posted thirteen lines on this website to be reviewed, but first I wrote the middle of the short story that goes to it.
this seems to be a hard-working group.
