It's that time of the week again, time for the kick in the pants. The idea is that having somewhere to report progress will spur you on to make some. So I'm posing the question to all of us here. Did you write this week? As we have been reminded in the past, writing for the purposes of this thread can mean just about anything you want. You did some editing? Report it here. Outlining, pre-writing or any other kind of prep work? Sure, that counts too. And, of course, writing new work always counts.
I finally got the short story I've been wrestling with for weeks done to my satisfaction. After a couple of rounds of polishing, I sent it in last week. It feels so good to have that off my plate and not hanging over my head.
Beyond that, I've been making good headway with the outline for my NaNo project, the final volume of my Spire of Time trilogy. It hasn't been easy, as my notes include events and some plot, but not the whole thing. Still, I think I'm almost half done, and since I'm on vacation from the day job this week, I should be able to get it finished before the end of the week.

Yes, I wrote. Not as much as usual, still. Mostly on revisions to DESERT ROSE (formerly MAGIC AND POWER). Some revisions on THE SHAMAN'S CURSE. Nothing on the Weird Oz Story, yet.
I managed to shake off some of the doldrums and write every day, Thursday through Sunday, but, alas, my productivity on this vacation has yet to match what I did last vacation despite computer problems.
Still, it's reached an interesting point in the plot, and I hope to do more before my vacation ends.

My writing partner is working on my story I sent her to read. There were things that did not quite fit the world we created together, and the target market we are aiming for. It will be better.
I;m half way through reading the some sixty shorts I wrote based on this world and finding how badly written they were written, and how the nature of the characters shifted over time, and also the rules. I am getting tidbits of ideas that are really good. Most are unusable, though because the audience has shifted dramatically. Really only bits and pieces of most can be used.
One story had a format I kind of liked. You have two characters. Each one writes a short E-mail telling what happened, which are different from each other. then it tells what actually happened in story form and that has little to do with their letters, but you see where their letters are coming from.
One of the reasons I am reading through the stories is to see where I need to go with the next one, and possibly find one that is immediately useable.

Yep I did.
On three stories, on revising one. I sent out that one.
I did 2,453 words today on one story. It's the latest in a UF series of short stories I am doing. Today I borrowed an idea from Benedict Jacka for a fight scene. Of course I changed it to fit me and this story. This story is at 7,000 words and I'm not close to being done. It could turn into a novella or novelette. It's going to be the longest in this series.
Not so much on one of those three stories,
A bunch on the third one at work. Second story in a steampunk Special Ops series.
Hmm, I'm not sure when I did the week before or this week but one flash romance steampunk.
