Welcome to this week's Novel Support Group (NSG). Anyone can join. If you're new, tell us a bit about who you are and what project you are working on. Although we can report on any number of things, here is a list of suggestions (suggestions welcomed).

Here is a list of things that you can do each week as we work on our novels (suggestions welcomed).

Last Week's Goals

I was unable to work on either of my goals due a project I have been working on and a busy work schedule. Unfortunately, I think this will likely take me away from writing through the holidays so I may not get much opportunity to write for a while (not that I was doing much before ).

My goals for next week:

I will keep these goals listed so that should I find the opportunity to write I will have a reminder of what I need to work on next. Hopefully I will be able to do something for these goals on occasions.

What did I learn this week?

Nothing here. Good luck to everyone else, especially for those doing NaNo!

I had a pretty good week.

Last Week's Goals:

Dreamer's Rose: Continue to let it rest.
Easy one.

The Shaman's Curse: Rewrite the query letter and start sending this one back out.
I've been mulling on this, but I haven't actually changed a word so far this week.

The Ignored Prophecy: Revision to first five chapters. Actually more of a rewrite than a revision. But I finished it last night. I wanted to get this done so I can print it out and put it in the hands of a reader I'll be seeing at Thanksgiving.

Blood Will Tell: Let it rest.
Another easy one.

Other: Work on revisions to my two short stories.
No. I didn't get to this one at all.

This Week's Goals

Dreamer's Rose:
Continue to let this one rest.

The Shaman's Curse:
Now that I've finished the partial rewrite on THE IGNORED PROPHECY, maybe I can get back and work on this query. I really need to start sending this back out again. The way to make sure it never gets published is not to keep sending it out. Gotta get back on it.

The Ignored Prophecy:
Get this one printed out and into the hands of a reader by Thanksgiving.

Blood Will Tell:
Start the second revision. It's probably overly ambitious, but I'd like to get through this revision and give this one to my reader, too. Fall back, to get it done in time to give it to her when she returns THE IGNORED PROPHECY.

Seven Stars:
No specific goals for this one. This is my playground when I just can't stand not to be working on something new. I did figure out where it starts.

Other:
I still need to work on revisions to my two short stories, Dragons Are Forever and The Seeker, so I can get them out there.

Reached the 100K point on my Bellian novel yesterday night.

My goal is to finish it by Tuesday, do a cover art example and maybe even get started on my first edit.

Well, I got all the sleeping done that I said I would do, anyway... only 3K of the 10K I wanted to do on NaNo, though I did another 1K on TSB and wrote up a bunch of WotF crits.

Goals for next week:
1) Push NaNo project
2) Do revisions on my own WotF entry
3) Continue letting possible revisions for TSB and TGS percolate in my head

That reminds me, Meredith...I owe you my latest query letter. If you're familiar with the history of college basketball, you're no doubt familiar with the term 'four corner offense'...in which case you're also familiar with how I handle query writing.

Also...don't forget to send me the revised Shaman's Curse query.

Scrapped the 4k into my new project in favor of better plotting and more outlining. So, troubleshooting 3 of them now.

*sigh* So disconcerting to fail another milestone!

Nothing written again last week, though, of course, I thought on it a lot. So, goal for this week is to write the Wagner chapter! Cmon, Chapter two! Woo!

@Crank Send it on whenever you're ready.

I'll send you a revised version of mine as soon as I have something I'm happy with--which isn't yet. I'm still mulling some of the conflicting advice and trying to figure out how to get the gist of the story in about half the space.

Had a terrible experience in the shower today. I realized that my ideas for the new ending to the novel I was editing before Nanowrimo never got written down. I hope they all come back to me when I get started again, but who knows? There was something about Jenny's cousin and having Jenny take a portal to Earth all by herself instead of with Arram, and something about Jack coming into Arram's office...I don't know. I've lost it.

Learn from my mistakes my friends, since I probably won't.
Write your ideas down!

Made my goals this week for the first time in two weeks, yah!

I am going to the in-laws for Thanksgiving next week, ten hour drive with two kids, sigh. I don't expect to get much done, so my goal is to find at least two hours in the car to write each way. I hope I can do more, but I doubt it.
