Welcome to this week's Novel Support Group (NSG). Anyone can join. If you're new, tell us a bit about who you are and what project you are working on. Feel free to update the NSG Work in Progress thread with your current projects. Although we can report on any number of things, here is a list of suggestions (suggestions welcomed).

Here is a list of things that you can do each week as we work on our novels (suggestions welcomed).

Last Week's Goals

More of the usual. Not sure where this funk came from.

My goals for next week:

This next week I want to go through all of my old stuff and see what I've got. I did a quick glance at all of the old files and I was surprised at how much I actually had. I have at least one completed novel (106k words) gathering dust. I have another novel attempt at 32k words. I don't know how complete it was but it does have the final scene written. So, that could be something to review.

What did I learn this week?

That I have a lot more old story ideas than I thought. Yes, they are likely VERY bad, but perhaps I can combine concepts and come up with something cool.

Last Week's Goals:

DREAMER'S ROSE: Nothing for this month.
Such an easy goal.

MAGE STORM: Start querying again.
Yes.

SEVEN STARS: Start the second pass through.
Yep. I'm up to chapter seven.

BLOOD WILL TELL: Make the first round of revisions and let it simmer a bit.
Yes.

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.
Try to get a little work done on my WotF entry for Quarter 3. Maybe even an entry for the challenge here (if I figure out how to get a few more hours int the day.)
Yes to all three.

Pretty good week, all told.

Next Week's Goals:

On the Shelf:
THE SHAMAN'S CURSE
THE IGNORED PROPHECY

I've gotten a really good idea that may be the key to finding my way back into these stories without just retelling them. More on that in a month or so.

DREAMER'S ROSE:
Nothing for this month.

MAGE STORM:
Continue sending out queries.

SEVEN STARS:
Continue with the second pass. Ten more chapters, or through chapter sixteen. (Halfway, more or less.)

BLOOD WILL TELL:
Let it simmer a bit longer.

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.

Last Week:

THE NULL PROPHET: Continue revisions & exchange.
Yes, though not as much as I would have liked (spent most of the week fighting off a migraine).

MINDWALKER: Write at least every other day
No. I didn't touch this one at all.

Next Week:

THE NULL PROPHET: Continue revisions & exchange.

MINDWALKER: At this point, I think any progress would be good.

Okay, jumping in. Feet first. I may have a hard head but I can only land on it so often. I'm new to Hatrack so bear with me if I mess up.

Projects working on: Between Lightness & Dark (The Book), fantasy, finished first draft at roughly 70k but originally thought to aim it for Luna so need to add at least 30k more. I've had several non-biased readers take a look at it. Most liked it, had some good feedback for me. Now I'm in re-write stage and haven't got off Chap 1 because I keep changing the beginning. UGH!!

Un-named Urban Fantasy (The Other Book)involving weres, vampires, and hunters. MC is a were who finds her boyfriend is a hunter. Stuck on who or what would have wanted to put them together although I'm formulating some ideas on that.

Miscellaneous WIPs I go back to when stuck on the above two.

Next Week's Goals:
~ Set a block of time to write each day (and not at work, like now 8-O
~ Seriously?? Just settle on a beginning for BD&L and get on with it!!
~ Look over notes for TOB, decide why things are happening and move on.

Don't know if this is the place to put this, but if anyone would like to read the original of BD&L and give feedback I would love it and reciprocate in kind.

Another newbie here so my goals might not be the loftiest. But hopefully, a little bit of public accountability will keep me on the straight and narrow!

Unnamed urban fantasy - 75K words so far. Goal: 5,000 words this week; Butt in chair, hands on keyboard every day, unless the house burns down.

Man, where have I been. So busy didn't post last week. Building a "gazebo" at work and writing a Business Plan during down time...no plot to that one. All the characters are lame.

William, hang in there. A new idea will come.

Goals? Get back to writing!

Evangeline has been sitting too long, but where am I gonna get the time?

New Arbor Day: Get back to editing...now! Finish before the baby arrives! Finish!

I'm so late here I probably shouldn't bother... I think I said that last week. But that's okay this week is almost the same as last week.

Hardly any work on New Mage, even though I think I know what was holding me back and I'm on it now but still not getting to it.

Waiting to revise Storm Born

Working on the crits for Bright Lights and work on getting more.

Goals are to start two new novels, come to think of it I started again on Angel Kin, or Kin To Angels, or Cousin to Angels. Still need a better title, thought I had one but forgot it.
