Welcome to this week's Novel Support Group (NSG). Anyone can join. If you're new, tell us a bit about who you are and what project you are working on. Feel free to update the NSG Work in Progress thread with your current projects. Although we can report on any number of things, here is a list of suggestions (suggestions welcomed).

Here is a list of things that you can do each week as we work on our novels (suggestions welcomed).

Last Week's Goals

Still reading, but I have done some minor outlining the last couple days.

My goals for next week:

Continue reading. I'm starting to debate whether I want to start doing some Young Adult novels. I haven't read much in that genre so it could be tricky for me.

What did I learn this week?

Nothing this time.

It was a slow week for me, writing-wise. I got some feedback on my query and short synopsis, and I'm struggling with how (and whether) to incorporate it. The longer synopsis is still pretty hopeless, and I'm debating whether I even need it. I did write about a page of a short story, and I'm trying something new, beginning each writing session with a writing prompt to get the words flowing. 3 days so far on that.

Next week, I want to polish my query and short synopsis (really, this time), and get my list together of which agents to query for my first round. I might start the final polish of my manuscript.
