Welcome to this week's Novel Support Group (NSG). Anyone can join. If you're new, tell us a bit about who you are and what project you are working on. Feel free to update the NSG Work in Progress thread with your current projects. Although we can report on any number of things, here is a list of suggestions (suggestions welcomed).

Here is a list of things that you can do each week as we work on our novels (suggestions welcomed).

Last Week's Goals

Nothing this week; just laziness again.

My goals for next week:

I hope to get back into the world building this weekend.

What did I learn this week?

Another busy work week, unfortunately. However, I think things are easing up so hopefully I'll start learning things soon. [Smile]

Last Week's Goals:

MAGIC'S FOOL: Continue revisions based on crits.
Actually finished this round of revisions. [Big Grin]

Okay dokey, I wrote on novels this week.

Some significant stuff on Stone Within. I may decide to switch that one to home work instead of work work. I want to write on it. I forget if I mention this last time but I am trying to make Stone sound a more intelligent...not sure if I can. And I am using what would probably be considered stereotypical phrasing. LIke she doesn't say "Yeah" and sometimes uses slightly longer sentences. (Shoulder shrug) I'm not sure how it is coming off. Sometimes I say yes she does sound intelligent but other times probably not. She is meeting with a cop who will become a friend and maybe more. But I had thought she would already have a couple of friends on the force so maybe more than one?

Still on Chapter four of revising Two Struggles--- still need a better title. Which is because I haven't worked on it for three days, well about five ten minutes last night. It's going quicker than I thought it would now that I am past chapter two.

Haven't worked on today yet either. But I needed to send out some stories--four-- and I ran one through my proofreader and I also did a crit, as well as yard work, and trying to figure out some odd things about pages. Most of it is good and easy to figure out but certain features are totally changed or I wonder why they put in a couple of features.

Considering that I had to give up my writing space to my in-laws for a week and a half, I got a decent amount of editing done. Still not finished, but I think the first chapter just needs a final polish.

I also spent some time researching and brainstorming for North, and had at least one breakthrough on characterization.

I bought a couple books, so the research will continue (and perhaps intensify) next week, as will the editing.
