Welcome to this week's Novel Support Group (NSG). Anyone can join. If you're new, tell us a bit about who you are and what project you are working on. Feel free to update the NSG Work in Progress thread with your current projects. Although we can report on any number of things, here is a list of suggestions (suggestions welcomed).

Here is a list of things that you can do each week as we work on our novels (suggestions welcomed).

Last Week's Goals

Nothing accomplished. Far too busy at work to think about writing, unfortunately. 10 - 12 hour days do that to a person.

My goals for next week:

Maybe something.

What I need to learn this week

Nothing but sleep is important. :-/

Last Week's Goals:

MAGIC'S FOOL: Keep thinking about what changes I need to make to improve this story.
Still thinking. [Smile]

FIRE AND EARTH (formerly known as SEVEN STARS): Three more queries out this week.
Nope. I'm in the middle of a revision to the query. Want to help? Check on the current version on F & F for books. [Wink]

BLOOD WILL TELL: The hard part (for me)--marketing.
Still need to work harder on this. [Frown]

BLOOD IS THICKER: Let it rest.
Easy one. [Smile]

MAGIC'S APPRENTICE: Wait for feedback on the opening.
Another easy one. [Smile]

THE BARD'S GIFT: I'll keep last week's goal. Make it through Chapter 7.
Nope. Nothing. [Frown]

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.

Also, finish revisions/additions to a novella "The Music Box" that I intend to e-pub this month.

Yes to the blog. Not quite to "The Music Box". It looks like that one is going to eat this month. [Frown]

Next Week's Goals:

MAGIC'S FOOL:
Keep thinking about what changes I need to make to improve this story.

FIRE AND EARTH (formerly known as SEVEN STARS):
Revise the query and get three more queries out this week.

BLOOD WILL TELL:
The hard part (for me)--marketing.

BLOOD IS THICKER:
Let it rest.

MAGIC'S APPRENTICE:
The feedback on the opening is coming in. I need to schedule in a little time to deal with it.

THE BARD'S GIFT:
I'll keep last week's goal, again. Make it through Chapter 7.

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.

Also, finish revisions/additions to a novella "The Music Box" that I intend to e-pub this month.

Like I said on last week's post, I'm working on the last volume of my Shattuk Downs trilogy. Book 1 was over 100K, but that will be trimmed. Book 2 is 80K and so far I've gotten 3K written for Book 3 and expect to reach 20-25K by next weekend.

I'm a little later than usual this week, because I forgot I'd be out of town. Better late than never, I guess.

Last Week:

THE NULL PROPHET: Two more queries out this week.
No. [Frown]

UNBORN: Finish writing new scene, revise 2 chapters.
Yes. [Big Grin]

NORTH: Let it rest.
Easy. [Smile]

OTHER: Resist the urge to tinker with website. Write a blog post, but only if it doesn't mess up my writing schedule.
Yes. [Smile]

Next Week:

THE NULL PROPHET:
Send two queries.

UNBORN:
Revise two chapters.

NORTH:
Let it rest.

OTHER:
Write a blog post, but only if it doesn't mess up my writing schedule.

Yao's Dragons: Thought about maybe writing a bit. (Ida's been too quiet for so long, I fear she may fading.)
