Describe what you worked on.
Set goals for next week.
Did you learn something during this week?

Here is a list of things that you can do each week as we work on our novels (suggestions welcomed).

As for me:

Last Week's Goals:

FIRE AND EARTH (formerly known as SEVEN STARS): No queries over the holidays.
Yes (or rather, no). But I did submit to Pitch Wars. [Smile]

BLOOD WILL TELL: Actually e-mail a couple of potential reviewers.
Um. Only one, so far. [Smile]

BLOOD IS THICKER: Let it cool a bit before going back for the next round.
Easy one. [Smile]

THE BARD'S GIFT: Start the third draft.
Yep. I'm on Chapter 8. [Smile]

MAGE STORM:Wait for reader feedback.
Ongoing. [Smile]

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.

Finish the revision of "Becoming Lioness".
Yes to both. "Becoming Lioness" needs a final polish, though.

Next Week's Goals:

FIRE AND EARTH (formerly known as SEVEN STARS):
No queries until January.

BLOOD WILL TELL:
Actually e-mail a couple of potential reviewers.

BLOOD IS THICKER:
Let it cool a bit before going back for the next round.

THE BARD'S GIFT:
Third draft through Chapter 15.

MAGE STORM:
Wait for reader feedback.

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.

Put a polish on "Becoming Lioness".

LAST WEEK
This past week was off-centered. I did not even touch the young reader project I said I was going to work on, but instead I addressed a number of shorter pieces. End result: not much time was spent on my novels and novellas. Just as I predicted.

THIS WEEK
I will do some work on the young reader project this time around.

S!

Sorry, I've been off the radar for a couple of weeks with work and one of those horrendous winter colds. Still got the cold, but work's calming down so...I'm back!

I'm getting ready to embark on my next project. I have the main character, world story, and have written one scene.

THIS WEEK'S GOALS:
- generate a list of potential protagonist goals/conflicts, at least 10.
- choose the top three and write a minimal outline
- choose the best one and apply my Essential Questions checklist to it

Out sick all Thanksgiving week. Nothing done.

Next Week:
Go over crits on first chapter for Brull
Continue to stew over Elf book.
Not much more in the way of writing, but probably more research.
