Worked mainly on the revision of last year's Nano Novel "The Courier" an exciting steampunk tale of a young female Courier set in our time.

So now it's all of 61,000 words. Six chapters. I will be splitting one 15,700 word chapter up and I have one scene to add but unless I come up with something else that is it-which is possible. It looks like I will be a bit short of 65,000 words.

Work interfered with my writing mindset a couple of days (truck day followed by having to cover an extra shift on my day off because of a sick coworker), but I did write on the other days, and I plan to make up for lost time over the weekend. My goal is to write five days next week, which gives me a couple off days if I need them.

Good goals, Disgruntled Peony. Best wishes on them.

One thing to remember is that if you happen to fall too far behind, don't try to make up for lost time - that can be more discouraging than you need.

Just start again from where you are - maybe look at each week afresh. If you didn't manage to get in 5 days last week, try for 5 days in the coming week, and try again as each week comes along.

And if work allows, thinking about your writing and figuring out things to do when you actually have writing time can count for "writing work" even if you don't manage to put down any words that day.

Life happens, but writers can use that.

Again, best wishes!

I agree with Kathleen, this is a good goal and I add it's good you got some in even with RL interfering.
