Welcome to this week's Novel Support Group. Anyone can join. If you're new, tell us a bit about who you are and what project you are working on. Feel free to update the NSG Work in Progress thread with your current projects. Although we can report on any number of things, here is a list of suggestions (suggestions welcomed).

What were your goals last week and did you accomplish them?
Describe what you worked on.
Set goals for next week.
Did you learn something during this week?

Here is a list of things that you can do each week as we work on our novels (suggestions welcomed).

Writing on a novel
Characterization
World Building
Relevant research

As for me:

Last Week's Goals:

DUAL MAGICS SERIES (THE SHAMAN'S CURSE, THE VOICE OF PROPHECY, BEYOND THE PROPHECY,and WAR OF MAGIC): Nothing this week, except possibly begin planning another promotion for the audiobook.
Nothing was a good call, but I'm going to have to start that planning. [Wink]

Wide Distribution Project: Wait for Amazon to resolve its issue (turning the text red). Everything but the short stories/novella are done otherwise. Consider which of the shorts, if any, I want to publish beyond Amazon.
Still waiting. [Frown] [Mad] [Eek!]

BECOME: BROTHERS: Promote on social media.
Nope. [Frown]

BECOME: TO CATCH THE LIGHTNING: Keep on writing.
Yes! [Big Grin]

MAGE STORM: Probably nothing this week.
Good call. [Smile]

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.
Yes. [Smile]

Next Week's Goals:

Finally finished a massive art project I've been working on for awhile, which means I can think writing related thoughts again. Yay!

The Courier still stalled Even though I may have one lead on someone to redo a certain pic for the cover.

Worked some on the revision of Journey. I may have less than a third to go.

Worked a little on that steampunk, dragon punk thing.

And a little on that steampunk-UF thing with no title. But the way I am going with it I could take off the UF and make it straight steampunk. Some of that has magic and paranormal animals.

Curious that one art enhances another, and each and both another . . . A woodwork commission has consumed a part of my arts attention since February 2016, and daylight now visible at the end of the tunnel. The work is an understated classic yellow pine Irish side board intended for an entertainment center. It's also somewhat a puzzle box, a subtext, as it were, that exceeds end users' expectations without, per se, contradiction!

Dovetail dado joinery, beveled legs, raised panel carcase end and door fields, decorative long-grain orientation shelves, rails, stiles, cupboard doors, drawers, and, soon, crystal-clear gloss shellac finish. Foresight's advantages has been the greater part of the project's spiritual growth journey so far -- that and stretches my skills and resources beyond their former limits. Foresight, like a careful and followed plan and -- you know, a reflection of foreshadows and artful pre-positions!

That sounds awesome. [Smile] I enjoyed my art project enough that I'm seriously debating on creating a webcomic for Sanguine (my historical fantasy setting). I still definitely want to write prose, but this would let me exercise both my writing and drawing muscles.

On the other hand, the more I think about this, the more I realize that prose offers a depth of viewpoint that graphic novels cannot allow for.
