Welcome to this week's Novel Support Group. Anyone can join. If you're new, tell us a bit about who you are and what project you are working on. Feel free to update the NSG Work in Progress thread with your current projects. Although we can report on any number of things, here is a list of suggestions (suggestions welcomed).

What were your goals last week and did you accomplish them?
Describe what you worked on.
Set goals for next week.
Did you learn something during this week?

Here is a list of things that you can do each week as we work on our novels (suggestions welcomed).

Writing on a novel
Characterization
World Building
Relevant research

As for me:

Last Week's Goals:

DUAL MAGICS SERIES (THE SHAMAN'S CURSE, THE VOICE OF PROPHECY, BEYOND THE PROPHECY, and WAR OF MAGIC): Complete at least the next step to set up a mailing list.
Why do I even bother keeping this on the list? [Embarrassed]

DUAL MAGICS SERIES: As time permits, go through the x-ray listings for the Dual Magics boxed set and THE BARD'S GIFT.
Yeah, this didn't happen, either. [Frown]

BECOME: TO CATCH THE LIGHTNING: The first critique is back, but I'm going strong on the sequel right now, so I'll let it wait a little longer.
Still working on those (now probably four) chapters. Second critique's not back yet. [Smile]

BECOME: TO RIDE THE STORM: Continue the first draft.
Yes. [Smile]

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.
Yes.

Next Week's Goals:

DUAL MAGICS SERIES (THE SHAMAN'S CURSE, THE VOICE OF PROPHECY, BEYOND THE PROPHECY, and WAR OF MAGIC):
Complete at least the next step to set up a mailing list.

Actually not much work on novels. I took an online writing workshop-I think I mentioned.

But did some on that steampunk dystopian.

Got The Courier published. Paper and electronic.

Did that tonight so it hasn't hit the stores yet. Unless you want to buy an Ebup version from me. [Razz]

Wrote a Mystery story that the teacher of the workshop thought should be a full novel. But yikes I would need to know more about police procedure.

Think that is is.

LD - Published? Self-pub or who did you get pub. by? - congrats. You said stores, so I take that to mean a main publisher. Or are you meaning online stores like Amazon and B&N for self pub?

Much success on the book,

W.

Thank you.

Indie published through CreateSpace and Draft2Digital. Courier is a full 96,000 word novel. I have some short stories up on Google+ fewer on my blog and FaceBook. And I plan on sending out five to ten stories this weekend to markets-not the stories that are up on the web.
