Welcome to this week's Novel Support Group. Anyone can join. If you're new, tell us a bit about who you are and what project you are working on. Feel free to update the NSG Work in Progress thread with your current projects. Although we can report on any number of things, here is a list of suggestions (suggestions welcomed).

Describe what you worked on.
Set goals for next week.
Did you learn something during this week?

Here is a list of things that you can do each week as we work on our novels (suggestions welcomed).

As for me:

Last Week's Goals:

DUAL MAGICS SERIES: As time permits, go through the x-ray listings for the Dual Magics boxed set and THE BARD'S GIFT. Maybe I'll get to this after I finish the first draft of BECOME: TO RIDE THE STORM. Might even get to this.
Not yet. [Frown]

BECOME: TO CATCH THE LIGHTNING: Promote through social media.
Some. [Smile]

BECOME: TO RIDE THE STORM: Move forward with the first draft. Try to get about two more chapters down. The goal is to finish this first draft by the end of July. Starting this week I'm on Chapter 56, 101,600 words in. It looks like probably 57 chapters in all for this one. I think the odds are good that I'll finish it this week.
Done!!!! [Big Grin]

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.
Yes. [Smile]

Next Week's Goals:

DUAL MAGICS SERIES:
As time permits, go through the x-ray listings for the Dual Magics boxed set and THE BARD'S GIFT. Maybe I'll get to this after I finish the first draft of BECOME: TO RIDE THE STORM. I need to get back on this.

BECOME: TO CATCH THE LIGHTNING:
Promote through social media.

BECOME: TO RIDE THE STORM:
Let it rest.

MAGE STORM:
Complete a read-through and decide how I want to handle the rewrite of this one.

Mailing List:
I really should get back on this one, too. We'll see.

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.

Got at least to proficiency for subtext, and as relates to rhetorical figures and other literary devices, for instance, regular sarcasm and foreshadows. For best prose reader effect, words do double and more work due to prose's poetic equipment and that appeal due to other meta-composition types, and writers and readers thereof, often refuse figurative expression.
