First line, BAM, right in your face. For those interested in a dialogue of the more flamboyant nature, I recommend this. Some might call it cliche, but that's merely because it's been copied so many times by others.

One of my all time favorite opening lines. Sure, the writing is a bit florid by current standards, but it's still a good story.
