Not me---my bladder and bowels has made moviegoing a less than pleasant experience for me. I don't know how long this movie actually is, but even a relatively short movie is better for me at home where I control the remote and I can press "pause" whenever I want to.
But I'd be interested in your plans, and your experience of the movies. The reviews I've seen are positive, and this one may be an improvement over the "prequels," at least. (I did see them, and the originals---"Star Wars" the first movie is the only movie I've seen three times in theaters.)

I plan on watching it. I have no idea what's going to be about. I'm avoiding a lot of online places so I don't get spoiled.
As for my experience with the movies: I hated the last three.
I went back to loving Star Wars after watching The Clone Wars. It's a "cartoon" that, in my opinion, surpasses the storytelling quality, and acting, of the last three movies. I'm watching Rebels now, too, the continuation of The Clone Wars. Both series are cannon.
In my little world the three lasts movies never happened.
I'm sorry about the bladder and bowel problems, Robert. To be honest, most of the times movie going is unpleasant for me, too. I don't like how a lot of people behave with cellphones in movie theaters. I get crabby if I hear whatsapp notifications, or ringtones. Makes me want to go "Hulk smash".

Nothing wrong with my bladder and bowels---'cept maybe diet and habits. That plus the "movie experience"---a big drink and a big bag of popcorn---also have something to do with it.

I don't drink fluids during movies except for a sip of water after munching on popcorn for a while. Nothing ruins a movie like a full bladder.
Except maybe a human with a cellphone that isn't on vibrate.

I generally avoid the food aspects of the "movie experience", myself, simply because those drinks and popcorn are expensive. On the other hand, that's how theaters make most of their money these days, so it's kind of a mixed bag.
I'm planning to see it after there have been a few weeks for the hype to die down (I hear every ticket in the local area for opening weekend is already sold). I'm doing my best to have absolutely no expectations about the film itself. I loved the original trilogy despite its faults and was far less fond of the prequels. Disney has done (most of) their Marvel movies well, though. We'll see how things go.
I do have to say, some of the marketing campaigns irritate me. (Covergirl makeup? Honestly? Maybe I'm just not feminine enough, but I don't see the appeal.)

I don't know. It seems cool that they're marketing to women, even though the effort seems a bit misguided. I'd rather they made more Marvel (or Star Wars) t-shirts for women. All the cool ones are cut for men. It drives me nuts.

I have a HUGE 3D television and 2500 watts of Dolby 7.2ch surround sound in a small room--shake your teeth right out of your head it will. Theatre, moi? No way.

My TV isn't large as some and it's not wired up for surroundsound, but it will do for watching. One thing the George Lucas movies always had were great soundtracks; one can hope this lives up to that standard.

Saw it. It was good. Looking forward to reading the book to see if it adds more to the overall, but waiting to get the hard bound in February. Not really into the e-books/e-readers which they have it for now. I'm just stubborn that way. I hope everyone has a merry Christmas or happy holiday whichever applies to you.

I liked it, but didn't love it--being one of those who was there on opening day, in my iron on Star Wars movie poster tee-short (remember those?) for the original film 38 years ago.
Greatest thrill: seeing Harrison Ford reprise his character Han Solo flawlessly, as if no time had elapsed from the first trilogy of movies.
Greatest disappointment: Storyline. The movie was more a remake than a reboot.
Still, an enjoyable couple of hours. I have higher hopes for the sequels to be directed by Rian Johnson.

I took my daughter to see it. There were quite a few parallels with the first movie, but overall quite good.

I agree with Dr. Bob about Harrison Ford and Han.
I disagree about the storyline. Yes there were similarities to New Hope but I didn't care.
I love popcorn at the movie theater, it's better than any microwave stuff even if the last isn't bad. And my bladder was almost bursting by the time I got out but I had to hold it anyway.

just Saw The New Star Wars. No major spoilers here but need to say a few words at least. Some of you may know the major spoiler some people haven't been able to help themselves and say(Rolls eyes on that) but I won't in case you haven't seen it. I am still surprise there have been no riots over that one but that is all I will say about it. One very minor spoiler. They did everything bigger and better than in New Hope. Bigger and badder super weapon, bigger and badder main bad guy. I wonder if he really is as big as he shows himself. Maybe a better pilot too-they said they updated the star destroyers and I think they did the same with the X-wings. I want one.
Wow, the action, special effects, missions and the story all worth a wow. The type of movie that needs to be seen on a really big screen. Even wide TVs won't do it. Some have had problems with theaters but me and my wife haven't had any real problems there and no matter what the popcorn is better there.
Anyway: Probably not surprising there were like half a dozen unanswered questions of various sizes that need to be answered in the next one. Or third. The story wasn't quite what I thought it would be from the various trailers.
Leia looks old and so did Han-even while he was running around in a couple of scenes-but not quite as much. They did leave out a couple of scenes that they showed in trailers including Luke's line in the first trailer.
Great and I wouldn't mind seeing it again, even with you know what happening.

Most of the reviews and comments I've seen are positive---there are exceptions, of course---but I'm still gonna give seeing it in theaters a pass. I'll try my best to catch it on video when that comes around.

I guess there's a lot to be said about it copying the first one, but I think that, in part, is what made it feel like it belonged for me. It brought back the spirit of the original and made it very familiar. But I nearly missed all the similarities except the desert planet. My biggest gripe that no one ever discusses is the whole plausibility of the main back story about Luke...
Having said that, I really quite liked it. Saw it 3 times and would have gone more if any family were willing to go again.
I also greatly appreciated the animated Clone Wars and Rebels series. They did a lot to tide me through this Star Wars drought.
