I highly recommend the suspense novels of Doss, set in the Four Corners area of the southwest, with a 7-foot Ute Indian and his ornery shaman grandmother as dual protagonists. Extremely witty and intelligent prose. The book that won my readership was titled Three Sisters. Laughed myself silly.

Three Sisters is apparently book 12 in the series. I figure I'll give book 1 (The Shaman Sings) a try, at least.

Thanks for the recommendation.
