1. Write an intro of 13 lines only... or KDW will snip, snip. You are allowed to edit after posting, unless you send it to me for anonymous posting, in which case send it as you want it posted.

2. It must resonate with the prompt: Snake Gods Rising...--but we are pretty flexible, so if it works in your head I am sure it will be fine. However it is a judging criteria, so your choice...

3. You have until next Sunday midnight (25th) GMT to post an entry. Voting will run for a week after. Non-voters will be disqualified.

I would ask voters to vote before looking at how others have voted, to ensure you are not influenced. Once you have voted you can watch the votes coming in. Crits or comments are encouraged, but not required--voting is required.

4. Intros will be judged on 3 criteria: a strong desire to read on; reflects the prompt; smooth prose.
