At least when "Calvin and Hobbes" went away, it went away for good. Berke Breathed has retired whatever incarnation of "Bloom County" he's currently on once more, I gather---what is it now, the seventh or eighth time?
And look at the living death of the new version of "For Better or For Worse"---in September, Elizabeth was getting married, and now she can't even walk or speak coherent sentences...
