Over Memorial Day weekend, I went to my very first Renaissance Faire and really enjoyed myself. It was neat to be able to see the attire people wore back in that time period (somewhere in the 1500's).

I also enjoyed the weapons demenstration. They also had some Shakespearian actors performing, a juggler, and even a fire eater. There was a pirate show for the kids, and actors roaming the grounds performing in character. I thought it a great opportunity to experience a little atmosphere from the time where many fantasy adventures abound in our imaginations.

I know we don't usually post pics, but I especially like this young man's turnout. Just click on the link to view the pic:

I love Ren fest. This year kinda sucks though. It comes for two months- October and November. So, I can either go while massively pregnant or right after having had a baby, bringing a little tiny one. It is almost 2 hours drive, so going for a few hours is not really an option. Right now I am thinking massively pregnant is the better option. I also haven't made costumes, cause I really don't know how to do maternity clothes. All my patterns are normal. Also, I want to do a fancy one next and I would rather do that when there is a chance of reusing it.
