Does anyone truly care that Axeminister received his Kindle? Probably not, but that's OK, I'm trying to be discreet, what with posting in Grist and all.
So, here's the deal:
To celebrate, I shall purchase 5 e-books - one from each of the first five unique posters who link directly to their (or a friend's) book.
That's five books total - in case I flubbed my wording.
Rules:
$.99 - $2.99 only. One link per person. Amazon.com
Um, I think that's it. Help me shop, people!

Most of what I've bought so far has been old stuff---some Barbara Tuchmann and also The Lord of the Rings. But they were higher than two-ninety-nine.
I was going to recommend Eric James Stone's Unforgettable, which I heard about 'round here, and really enjoyed reading...but, for what seem like complex reasons, it isn't available in e-book form at the moment...

I'm still holding my breath until I can buy my own. Not going to happen until I find a job or get published big time.

Hmm, at the moment I think all the E-books I know of you already know about too.
Hopefully six months from now I can have a couple of my own on board but....

So, none on the first day.
This thread is like an Easter egg on a DVD. You don't need to find it, but it's fun when you do.
Well, for those with an e-book for sale that is.
I need to get one tho...

If no one replies here check out the the publications and review forum. There were at lest three listed there in the last year.

Yeah, too obscure - even for me.
Moving the topic where I may get some new reading material.

I've got to admit, I've been using my Nook Color reader as more of a hand-held websurfing device than a downloading e-reader. It limits me in the suggestion category...I've even downloaded some books I haven't gotten around to reading...

You might try one of those paste-up public domain collection...they're usually cheap, and sometimes unreliable, but you might find something worthwhile, or maybe something you haven't read in a long time that's still worthwhile.
I tried out a collection of H. Beam Piper stories, but found it impossible to navigate around from story to story within the file. I may flush it and try another someday. Or something by some other writer.
