As much as anything, the names caught my attention. The Defense Advanced Research Project Agency? (Look up their logo for more entertainment.) An Army weapon called AWH ("awe"?).
One of the most interesting parts of the article was the mention of how much the HTV-2's designers had underestimated the shock waves. We're still figuring out our own atmosphere, aren't we?
