I've had a glass thrown and broke upon my face, pressed charges against my spouse, and now my upper lip is cut in such a way that it looks like it is its own set of lips. I have a smashing bad headache and I havent wrote a damn thing today. Also i miss my step-daughter like crazy.

Please tell me everyone else is having a decent day.

Well, I had a sleepless afternoon, followed by eight hours of night-shift exhaustion, with two hours of digging and planting bushes in my backyard added for the hell of it. But I can't say my day went as bad as yours. (No writing either.)

Yikes. Are you okay??? besides the emotional toll that is.

Nothing like that has happened. Closest thing is when I had to take my wife to emergency...turned out to be not that bad. It did need to be taken care of but it was a low level emergency.

But I have had days I had to do other things so very little if any writing.

Oh my GN. I certainly do hope you have better days ahead. So tragic when relationships blow up so violently. I hope you were checked for a concussion. I will be thinking of you today. I feel so bad for you.

Ok? Well, When cop got there i decline medical attention because I"m broke and cant afford another bill. decent sized curved cut on my upper lip and i think i got cut insid emy mouth to on my inner lips an gums. Lip is swollen up pretty bad makes talking a little more incoherent, not good for someone that deals with people all day long.
A customer asked what happened and i told her and then the boss jumped my ass for not keeping my business to myself. Kind of acted like a dick really.

I filled out a stop payment for my direct deposit so hopefully my check (which will have last months bonus[which is probably my largest bonus so far this year]) wont direct deposit into her bank account on friday.

I'm not sobbing uncontrollably yet, but when the reality that I wont be able to see my daughter anymore sets in thats probably what'll happen.

I did see in the paper this morning the write up that she had been arrested.

Dont think I have a concussion, head has been killing me though. Think that might be from stress and not eating alot though.

I can't help but think we're all seeing just one side of this. You're side, GN. No offense. You know your wife better than we do, but I can't imagine a spouse acting like this without just cause. Let's face it. None of us on this forum know you very well on a personal level, and not knowing all the facts, it's hard to take sides as to who is right and who is wrong.

I don't think she should not allow you to see your daughter. But again... it depends on whether she thinks you are a danger to your own child. I get the feeling that not all is being told here, and I'll understand if you don't want to discuss details. So far it has just been you seeking our sympathy, and I do want to believe you're the innocent party, but it could very well be you are not telling us everything.

Just my 2 cents on this.

Its more so me wanting to vent than seeking sympathy, but I appreciate you for looking at it the way you do. I wont bore anyone with the full details, but basically I was trying to tell my daughter I love her and she was yelling at me not to talk to her and threatening that her family would "take care of me" if i said anything to my daughter.

This happened as soon as I returned home after taking a bunch of things my mother had loaned us back to my mother. She had been acting foul and talking **** about both myself and my mother(who had done nothing to her other than gives us thousands over the past couple years that the wife wouldnt work) and I felt like I should return the borrowed items. I wouldnt feel comfortable having all my moms stuff at my house if my wife was making fun of the fact that she's probably not going to survive cancer and slinging any sort of petty insult that she could think of. Plus i know how shes acted in the past and I didn't want any of her stuff destroyed for no apparent reason.

Bah, I'm rambling.

I kinda pondered several pieces of advice, probably all bad, but decided to boil it down to one piece of good advice. Get medical attention for your injuries.

I agree with Robert.

A lot of things I could say but I'll just ask is this behavior new with your wife or has she been like this for a long while?

Well this is the first time this particular thing has happened, but there have been plenty of other crazy things over this half decade that we've been together. There has been a couple times where she hit me with her fist, she tossed all my clothes out the window, she threatened me with a knife, and there are a few other things like that. I always approached it in my mind like Crystal did to justify staying together that way I'd be able to have my daughter in my life. Sometimes there were misunderstandings that would make sense for someone to be mad about, but more often than not they were unexplicable burst of hostility. And I think all of the madness were overreactions, regardless of wether there was a legitimate cause or not.

It still feels like i got a tootsie roll inserted under the bottom of the inside of my lip... Any idea how long it takes swelling to go down?

Sorry to hear about that GN. With face injuries like that it could take up to two weeks. But the major swelling should go down in about five days. You might resemble a chipmonk a little bit after that though.

I hope that things start to look up. Oh btw, arnica gell really gets the swelling down. When I had my wisdom teeth removed, and when I was dealing with my knee problems, the arnica gell really helped the swelling and the pain. Vitamen e-oil also works wonders with scars and cuts. I hope this helps!

Not knowing your ages, I'm going to ask if by chance your wife is in to menapause?

I know when I first started, I was biting my husband's head off and handing it to him. All verbal, nothing physically violent. And then later, I'd feel terrible about doing it, because he didn't deserve it or even ask for it. Suppliments helped put me back on a even keel.

I just turned 24 on May 24th, she'll be 26 on July 30th. She wasn't even on her period yet either.

Swelling has started to go down finally, which is good because I went to my mom's family reunion today and really didn't want to recount the past week's events over and over.

I rode up there with my nephew and my mother to save gas and i got to see some of my nephews drawings. The kid has a lot of skill, so if i ever need some cover art for horror related things I know who to get a hold of. [Smile]

That is a tough situation to be in. Almost like an emotional Catch 22. As a father I give my sympathies.
