I have changed my E-mail address but I seem to be having problems changing it here.

Just in case someone may want to E-mail me about the WotF stories and crits you won't be able to.

You can post your email address here, if you need to, by putting (at) instead of the at symbol and (dot net) instead of .net and it should be safe from spambots.

The email address I see for you has an att.net domain. Is that correct or not?

We are no longer with att but my address will be changing again very soon to a more permanent address so I will wait until then to post it here.

Well, it used to be that you couldn't change your email address in your profile (though the option seems to be available now), and from what you say, it may still be a problem.

What people would have to do in the past (when the option was not available in their profiles) was to register again with the new email address (which was a total pain, especially if they didn't want to change their usernames).

So if you still can't change it, that may be something to consider.

Problem is that I can't find my password. I know I saved it somewhere. But so far not where I thought.

Oh and I have my address settled now.

Well, if you can still access your old email address, you can have the Hatrack website software send you your password at that email address.

That's the problem I can't they cut it off suddenly.

We had to wait until we could make a new one on comcast it just so happened that both happened on the same day.

My att address was switched to yahoo-they are connected-so I still have all my E-mails but it looks like anything sent to att.net just disappears.

Hi LDWriter2 & other readers,

This is a helpful hint for the future.

I got tired of changing email addresses every time I moved or changed Internet carriers. Several years ago someone gave me this advice, and it has saved huge headaches:

1. The best email address is one tied to a domain name which you own. For about $10 a year you can register a domain name (I use godaddy) and get a free [i]forwarded[/1] email account.

You can forward that email address to any other account you want, as often as you want to change it. (I forward it to gmail, which allows me to show the forwarded address as "from" on replies.)

2. The second best option is free. Set up an email account with gmail. The address stays constant no matter what your internet carrier is.
