A friend talked me into taking taekwondo at the beginning of the year. For each new belt, there is an essay that has to be written for part of the test. I submitted my essay on Tuesday and Master Howard asked for an electronic copy. He liked it so much he wants to post it on the school's Facebook page. I've sold stories before, but hearing that he really liked it was one of the better accomplishments of my writing career. I'm not usually the sentimental type, but hearing him recommend my essay to others was about as good as getting my new green belt tonight.

Robert, I hobbled out of that test. Apparently, inner peace won't be mine for some time. But it is fun working on it!
