It's my birthday. Turning 19. Yay.

I wish I could say I'm your typical teenage boy, but I don't and I'm not. I'm a Shifter. In other words, I've got 'magical powers'-not that I'm a superhero or anything. No, definitely not a superhero. Actually, my 'power' is pretty terrifying. Some people would call it a demon (the thing I transform into). Personally, I don't know what to call it and I don't care. It's a monster. It's a monster and I'm me. We just happen to share the same body. Anyway, I guess you could consider me the arrogant bad-boy that drives all the girls crazy but, you know, whatever. I definitely don't care too much for school. I live with my family and we move from place to place like a traveling circus. Maybe one day I'll finally get to settle down with the girl of my dreams and live a peaceful life...Yeah, right.

You've got something inside you that isn't you? Can you communicate with it?

Well, yeah. He just doesn't listen. He tries to take over sometimes, but I won't let him. I guess the simplest way to put it is that it's a constant internal battle between me and him.

So it's possible that you and he are just you...

Well, I guess it might seem that way to others except I do transform so, I guess it's a little more complicated than I figured. Maybe He is a darker version of me created by the Shifter gene. We're called 'beasts' and 'wild animals' so you could say that my subconscious mind melded with the Shifter gene and created Him in order to enhance the Shifter's effectiveness by leaving out unessential emotions when in battle. Not sure if it makes any sense but then again, I never was any good at explaining things.

Finding the answer to this might be as important to you as anything you and he get involved in...

Yeah, I was just afraid of what I might dig up...

What is your name bad boy? What does your alter-person look like? Does your alter-person have a name? In what ways specifically do you act out?

Shapeshifters either can control their change or can't or do so in a mixture of can and can't control the change. Those that can control, shift due to a conscious and exigent need, usually self-serving. Those that can't, do so due to an episodic trigger. Those that mix, like Mr. Hyde or Bruce Banner, are more social belief system misfits, the latter are more spiritual belief system misfits.

In any regard, they all exhibit a breakdown in respect for social order, letting down the hair, so to speak, howling at a full moon, running wild and free, wreaking havoc and mayhem without regard for social values and counter to accepted norms, in order to relieve the stresses conforming to rigid social codes cause.

Invariably, they are physically superior eliitists during the change. Elitism is key. They are the bully jocks in high school cliques. The enforcers that bully citizens. The self-appointed, overbearing neighborhood busybody bullies that cut a wide, brutal swath and demand attention and obedience to their twisted moral codes from all and sundry, or else. They are the misfit bullies who get a wild notion about being ignored and neglected and abused and go off explosively like anarchists' bombs. If not from around these parts, they are the strangers come to town who bully others into serving their whims.

In other words, what's your bully metaphor?

Or they are the psychopaths who get off on pain in others and psychologically separate themselves from their "bad part" so they can live with themselves when the "good part" is "in control."

There are "organized" psychopaths and "disorganized" or random psychopaths.
