I acheived a bit of a milestone. After selling 8 consecutive flash fictions I finally sold an actual short story.
My One Wicked Day will be printed in an anthology where all the stories are about the wonderful world of Oz.

The anthology is set to be released in the fall.

Congratulations, snapper! (Ha - I was the first to use the "C" word in this thread - now everybody else has to find some original way of congratulating you)

Thanks Philo, I'll never have to be a copy cat again.
Here's my new reply cortesy of Philo's list.

That's how to handle that.
You are learning fast.
Aren't you proud of yourself.
(I like this one, lol) You really make my job fun.
You've got your brain in gear.
It's such a pleasure to teach when you work like that.
That's a good boy.
You remembered!
Good thinking.

Reviews are coming in.

The reviewer mention my story and me by name. Is...

"One of the best tales of Dark Fantasy I’ve read this year!"

...a good thing?

I would say so! If it was me, I'd print it out and have it framed.

That's one of the interesting things about review statements. Out of context, it could mean good or bad things.

I've sat around with a bunch of authors when they were talking about being asked to "say something nice for the cover" of a book, and hearing all the ambiguous things they can think of to say about something that they really hated.

Give yourself the benefit of the doubt, though, snapper. It sounds good enough that the reviewer may have actually intended for it to be good.
