New Scientist Magazine is running a super-short (350 words or less) flash fiction contest. Sounds interesting...

hey thanks for sharing the link!

I looked at it, and interestingly enough the stories need to be set 100 years in the future and features Kim Stanley Robinson.

I am reading his book red mars right now! (a near future story about the colonization of mars, something I wanted to write about myself).

Maybe I will give this a try, only how to tell a decent story in only 350 words??

The deadline is not that far away, the payment is only a publication credit, and they keep the rights to it forever.

Still, the magazine publication maybe worth putting in a resume. Maybe a group for this contest may be in order. What do you think? Anyone interested in trading scripts?

Hey Snapper,
I'm planning on submitting for this contest just for the challenge, it forced me to try to write something coherent in 350 words or less

I have a rough draft completed now, I'd be willing to trade scripts with you, even if no one else does...

anyone else interested? Would be great to get a hatrack member as a winner!
