abozzo64 New Member	posted October 31, 2009 04:06 PM looking forward to exercising my mind again. hoping that this place and its inhabitants hone a skill i know i have but has been bulldozed by large and small tragedies. oh wait. i think that is called "life." if i could manage to produce one short story, a novella, or perhaps i dare, a novel, i would be most satisfied. i know there is a story in me. it has been clawing at my innards to come out. but it is a monster of incongruence. at present, when i let the beast out for just a peek, it sicks up the most pathetic lumps of drivel. i am, though, most hopeful that i can find my confidence here. lynn IP: Logged

Though obvious things like reading about story structure helped, I regularly surprise myself at how critiquing helps my writing; not only am I learning how to strengthen my own writing by analyzing that of others, but I'm also constantly learning how to communicate my message clearly.
